On Tuesday, October 6, the Armenian community of Lebanon will rally at the Boorj Hamood City Hall Park at 4pm and march to the Habtoor Hotel where they will demonstrate against Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian, who will arrive in Lebanon early Tuesday as part of his tour of the Armenian Diaspora.
The protest will begin at 4pm, when Sarkisian is scheduled to hold a meeting with community leaders where he will attempt to justify his government’s danger foreign policy course and conciliatory policy toward Turkey.
Lebanese Armenians have been anticipating Sarkisians arrival for days, holding a pre-rally over the weekend where hundreds gathered to express their opposition toward the Turkey-Armenia protocols he is about to sign.
A candle light vigil was also held at the Genocide Memorial Monday night. Groups of youth are standing guard at the memorial to prevent Sarkisian from entering the complex, while more groups are waiting for the President at the airport where they will protest against his arrival to Lebanon.
The planned demonstrations come amid heightened tension in the Diaspora as Armenian communities in Los Angeles, Paris, and New York have all turned out against the President on each of his visits to those cities.

President Sarkisian has proved himself a genuine coward and a traitor to the Armenian cause.
On behalf of the Armenian people in Lebanon we only recognize the Protocols provided first Turkey recognizes the Armenian genocide of 1915.
The diaspora is very clear in this respect if President Sarkisian fails to listen to the demands of the diaspora then his government will be considered illegimate and his removal from office would be the number one priority for all Armenian people.
My advice to President Sarkisian is to cancel the Protocols now before its too late
