A majority of Armenians who took part in a recent survey on Turkish-Armenian relations have said they are against signing of the recently announced protocols guiding the normalization of relations between the two countries, reported Arminfo on Monday.

The opposition Heritage Party in the National Assembly believes that the text of the initialed protocols between Armenia and Turkey is flawed and needs to be edited before signing and stands by its conviction that a public referendum on the documents is warranted.

Former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian condemned the Turkey-Armenia protocols on Tuesday, subjecting Armenia’s fence-mending agreements with Turkey to harsh criticism and saying that Yerevan is giving the Turks “everything they have wanted for 17 years” and gaining very little in return.
