The Homenetmen Western United States Regional Executive, with its more than 8000 members, stands firmly in support of each and every one of you. We support the self sacrificing decision each of you have made, at the risk of your own welfare and health, to starve yourselves directly in front of the consulate of our homeland – the government of which today is less than 48 hours from its intended destruction of our cause.

From the streets of Paris, to New York, to Beverly Hills, to Glendale, to Beirut to Yerevan to Stepanakert, our message has been made. Today is the final day. We are all waiting for the moment of truth. Day 4 with water only. Most of us are starting to become delusional yet I’m still here. I thought to myself, if my great grandmother can walk across the desert with two kids in her arms, I should easily survive this. You are heirs to great nation, a proud legacy, and a tradition of sacrifice in service to the inalienable rights, security, and dignity of the Armenian people. It’s Day 2 of the hunger strike, and surprisingly, hunger hasn’t crept up on me yet. At first, I was confused at the prospect of not being hungry after going without food for 38 hours, but after some thought came to a surprising conclusion. The reason that I, and many of my fellow strikers don’t feel hungry is because we are mentally prepared to stay strong.
